Planters is a garden show. The point of departure of the exhibition is the planter, or flowerpot – the decorative container in which plants are kept or grown.

Planters occupy a special, if overlooked, place in our urban and domestic environments. A plant container is at once functional (a means of transporting plants and seedlings from one growing environment to another), decorative (used to adorn interiors, terraces, boulevards, and parks) and even hygienic (a glorified air-freshener for those of modest means). As such, it has always been an object of artistic activity. Planters wants to explore the possibilities of this simple yet protean object, beyond binaries of form and function, art and design.
